Hi everyone

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if you have some experience on how to deal with mixture form pegs. Foe example, the material “LUNG521CRU”,

PZ = portion by the number of element of the material.

RHOZ= proportion by the weight of the element in the material

Since, we don’t know the element abundance, the problem is how to compute Z_lung, A_lung, or (A/Z)_lung.

Appreciate of any feedback and help.

Hello all

Hello all,

I have been successful in running simulations using BEAMnrc and DOSXYZnrc (sources 19 and 21, respectively). I am now trying to use a phase space source, specifically an IAEA phase space source, and I’m having some trouble. I am not exactly sure how to get DOSXYZnrc and BEAMnrc to work together to run the same phase space file. When I try to run a simulation, the process quits after displaying the phase space file size. Any suggestions on getting started with using a phase space file as a source?

Thank you,

Stephen

Installed EGSnrc on Windows 10.

Installed EGSnrc on Windows 10. Everything else is running fine ( BEAMnrc+ DOSXYZnrc etc) except for the examples which are C++ based. One attached screen shot is from EGS_Chamber where the input file is not being executed. Looks to me some sort of issue with the C++compiler. In the EGS_GUI compilation is successful (Exit code =0) but then the execution fails. Any idea whats happening

Hey Guys

Hey Guys,

I currently trying to install EGSnrc on my personal laptop.

Windows 10 V.1803, OS Build 17134.407.

I am able to compile everything except for dosxyznrc (despite multiple tries, and reverting back to previous versions of mingw64 that were illustrated in the install guide on github).

This is the error thrown by the installer:

Hi.

Hi.

We are running an egs_chamber simulation on our cluster with ‘develop’ branch from late September. It is a batch run simulating a dose profile with a realistic ‘moving’ detector. We get this kind of warning/error, which is new for us:

IAEA_PhspSource::setSimulationChunk(): illegal attempt to set the simulation chunk between 400000001 and 600000000 ignored

Running 200000000 histories

Converting now this photon to an electron,

but you should check your code!

Have you any tips, where to start trying to find the reason/solution for this?

Hello everyone

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to install the egsnrc but it seems to be an error when the wizard compiles the C++ library and then fails.I’m putting a .txt file of the specific section of the installation process to see where the error is.Not to mention im using a windows 7 32bit system and I have followed the steps of the insallation guide.I’ve also tried a few different versions of the mingw(current is 7.3) but all failed miserably

Thank you,
