I have successfully run the egs_brachy program, But facing issue in analyzing the output and seeing 3d dose with phantom.3ddose and energy distribution with phandom.edep.3ddose file could you pls tell me with how to analyze the result interactively and opening dose and energy file. I tried with statdose but not workout.

although my questions do not get enough attention on this community, I will continue posting on this page 😀

the question is: I used transformation function to move the beam away from the phantom but I want the beam to be in the opposite direction (see image attached), in other words, I want to rotate the beam 180 degree. Also I do not understand what floating point numbers mean for rotation.

any idea?

I want to take a 30x30x30 phantom and radiate it with 10×10 field from different gantry angles.

I have egsphsp and/or shared libraries, so these are not problem.

When I use Source 8 on Dosxyznrc, i can define only 1 beam center. Thus, I can simulate only on central axis (i cannot use differently because SSD changes but I have only 1 phsp). That doesn’t work when I want to radiate with different SSD from different gantry angles.

When I use Source 21, it seems it radiates from theta 90 to theta 270 as a continues move. That movement doesn’t work for me either. (I also couldn’t find out MU index here, is it probability?)

Hence, what should I do? How can I simulate simply static, open, multiple fields with different SSDs from different gantry angles?

Your help would be appreciated.

Can I get the “BEAMDP as a General-Purpose Utility” written by Ma and Rogers”

I have a question about analyzing phased space files with beamdp when I am running the spectral analysis of the file, I choose to get 200 energy binning however I am getting a 602 bins instead some of them are repeated E bins and the error is reported at each third E bin value only!

In order to convert the data of the spectrum into a 200 bins what should be done, I need explanation about how the spectral data are reported?!
