Hello everyone
Can I use source and target same in egs++? I mean I distribute the Radiation source uniformly inside a volume and measure the amount of energy deposited. Or I have to shift to Egs_brachy? And I want to Model a voxelized sphere how is it possible?
A uniformly distributed isotropic source can be created to be sampled only within certain regions of your geometry, thereby fitting any shape. Do this using the ‘include regions’ option for an isotropic source. Use a shape for the source that encloses the geometry of interest, then include the only the regions that you want to sample within. Recording the dose deposited in the geometry is completely independent, so yes you can record in the same regions.
Do you want xyz cubic voxels or spherical segments? You can do this using a sphere and ND geometry, similar to the ND geometry examples.

Thanks Reid… See end result I want is radial profile. The profile between the energy deposition vs the radius. So which one I should use?

That’s easy, just use concentric spheres! Even if they are the same material each shell will be its own region for dose scoring.

Thanks Reid. I will follow it. I started getting lot of emails regarding ctcreate 😁
