Hi all;

Hi all;

I got an issue while using dosxyznrc because there is no shared library, I tried to type ‘make library’ on accelerator directory but nothing happened!! any thoughts

Thanks

Hi everybody!

Hi everybody!

I am interested in simple questions of radioprotection, like how does the beam change after passing a certain material. I want to analyse the dose and energy spectrum before and after the attenuation.

The dose could be simulated with egs_chamber. But how can I get the spectrum at a point/plane?

Is there a possibility to simulate the dose and spectrum in one file?

Hello everybody!

Hello everybody! I am studying on Synchdmlc cm for HDMLC and I have a question. Do you know where is the “Z focus of leaf sides”? Is it the target, collimator or any specific place? I would be glad if you could help. Thanks in advance.

Hi

Hi,

I am trying to simulate the absorbed dose in a small box as a function of the box size with egs_chamber. The different box sizes are realized by a loop. To reduce the computing time I used “Intermediate Phase-Space Scoring”. In the egs_chamber example I found this part of code:

:start calculation geometry:

geometry name = phsp_scoring_geometry

cavity regions = 1 5

cavity mass = 1

cavity geometry = air_chamber_tube

enhance regions = 0 1 4 5

enhancement = 128 128 128 128

:start transformation:

translation = 0 0 -100.001

:stop transformation:

:stop calculation geometry:

What does the transformation do? Is it always necessary to use it? And what distance do I have to apply?

Hello everybody!

Hello everybody! I need some help on SYNCHDMLC_CM. I am modelling TrueBeam HDMLC. On HDMLC there are Half and Quarter leaves. On the CM, there are Full, Half and Quarter leaf types but it is said that define only if necessary. So, even though I define Half and Quarter leaves, simulation does not run. It says Error in CM geometries. And when i look into it, there are a lot of errors related to Full leaves which i neither chose nor defined. Do you have any idea about it? I may send all data you may need.
