I have successfully installed EGSnrc with brachy on virtualbox in Ubuntu. But while running gui I unable to access lower portion of window (application window). Is there is any solution to access full screen window with virtual box.

Hello, I’d like to install new version of EGSnrc on Windows and Linux. I’m already a user of EGSnrc, so before I do anything, I’d like to consult to you. Is there anything I should pay attention? Also I would like to tell you that, I haven’t set the environment variable while going through this process as it was already set while EGSnrc installation. As per installation manual I unset the variable for egs_brachy but failed to unset with “UNSET command ” please give the comments on both the issue.

I have installed EGSnrc in OS Ubuntu version18 in Virtual box successfully, After that I have been trying to installed EGSbrachy several time but unfortunately I failed to do that. I have been following all instruction given in manual, still I failed. Probably I have noticed, I have issue in setting environment variable, which is already been set in EGSnrc in .bas file. I have tried reinstalling in “EGSnrc_with_egs_brachy ” but not succeed. I had almost reached at last step

at “finalize_egs_foruser script” but after that, it does not workout. kindly tell what could be the issue. Please tell me how to set environment variable in Ubuntu Linux, for egsbrachy where, environment variable already been set for egsnrc.

I have reached almost at end of installation of EGSnrc in Linux Ubuntu through virtual box. As I gone through the steps given in online manual I have stuck at steps no 4. , where I need to set environment variable in txt file .bashrc . I unable to locate this file anywhere. Till this installation was done smooth.

Edit : where ? Not unable to find .bashrc text file

export EGS_HOME=~/EGSnrc/egs_home/

export EGS_CONFIG=~/HEN_HOUSE/specs/linux.conf

source ~/EGSnrc/HEN_HOUSE/scripts/egsnrc_bashrc_additions

I designed a Gaussian sources encompassed in a circular shape, located at the surface of a 20X20X1 of air phantom.

For circle shape:

radius = 8

and for Gaussian distribution I examined various values:

sigma= 0.1 or 2 or 4

It expects from a Gaussian distribution that for sigma=0.1 most of photons are condensed in a circle of radius=0.2, but as it’s shown in the screenshot (right) they are spread evenly in a circle of radius=8.

Hello there! I’d like to ask about STATDOSE. I coudn’t read any *3ddose file with STATDOSE although I open the same file with DOSXYZ_show. Thus, I think that there is something wrong maybe with STATDOSE. Would you please guide me? I always get such errors just like on the picture below.

Can I use source and target same in egs++? I mean I distribute the Radiation source uniformly inside a volume and measure the amount of energy deposited. Or I have to shift to Egs_brachy? And I want to Model a voxelized sphere how is it possible?
